Q. Hello Mishal, please tell us about

Hello everyone, I started Blogginexcel on 8th October 2018. The reason behind starting my blog was to help people wanting to start their own blog.

  1. Here I publish articles related to blogging, affiliate marketing, and WordPress so that I can share the knowledge I have gained over the past couple of years and help people to become a better blogger.

Q. What is your backstory and how did you come up with the idea of starting a blog?

My backstory is a bit interesting.

After completing my master’s degree, I tried to get into a Government job but I could not get one.

Being a student of science stream, I also did a 2-year diploma course in the field of paramedical only to get a govt job.

I sat for the Government Eligibility Test in which my result was on top, but after the counseling, all the rules for this job got changed. I started losing my hope and started feeling a lot of depression.

I started spending most of my time on the internet where I about blogging. I came to know that I can earn good money through blogging as well.

After researching and learning a lot on the internet I started a website that used to help people find new job updates (I’ve shut down this website now.)

I created many unsuccessful blogs and shut them down. After learning a lot, I started Bloggingexcel and it has started growing and helping me make money that I could never have made doing a Govt. job.

Q. What tools do you use for your blog?

These are some of the following tools that I use most for my blogs.

Q. What have been the most influential books, podcasts, blogs or other resources?

I’m not a book lover guy, but I love to read online blogs. I always keep reading new blog posts to enhance information in the field of blogging and SEO. These are some of the blogs I follow the most

Q. Please share your daily routine? How much time do you give to your blog now?

I am a full-time blogger and most of my time is spent blogging only. It is very important that you have a schedule for all your tasks even while working at home.

Here is my daily schedule.

  • 6:30 – Wake up
  • 6:30 – 7:30 – Morning Walk and some exercise.
  • 7:30 – 8:30 – Take bath and breakfast
  • 8:30 – 9:00 – Social Media
  • 9:00 – 2:00 – Work
  • 2:00 – 3:00 – Lunch with family while watching TV
  • 3:00 – 4:00 – One small afternoon Nap
  • 4:00 – 8:30 – Work
  • 8:30 – 10:30 – Family time and dinner. (Here the family means my parents and my siblings. I’m not married right now.????)
  • 10:30 – 12:00 – Work
  • 12:00 – Sleep

Q. How much time it took for you to earn your first income online?

I started my blogging journey in December 2016 with a blog on the job update blog. I did not have as much knowledge about blogging. I chose Google Adsense to monetize my blog.

After four months, in April 2017, I received my first earnings from Adsense for a total of $115. It was a moment of great pleasure for me.

This continued for a long time, but due to less earnings, I had to close the site at the end.

And at present, I am making a good amount of money from affiliate marketing and my services like consulting and website set up, etc.

Q. Who are the most influential people in the blogging industry that you admire the most and why?

It is hard to take anyone name here because there are so many people who have inspired me. In my early days, I had read a lot of blogs post of a Harsh Agarwal from ShoutMeLoud and he was the first man I got inspiration from.

After that, I followed the blogging journey of many bloggers and learned a lot from them, like – Anil Agarwal from bloggerspassion, Ankit Singla from Master Blogging, Akshay from BloggingX, and many more.

Q. What do you think is the best strategy that worked well for you to get more traffic to your blog?

I follow several strategies to get traffic on my blog, but I have seen that the most effective strategy that works for me is doing proper on-page SEO.

It doesn’t mean that other strategies do not work for me. After SEO, social media is also one of the best ways to get traffic to my blog. I also generate a good amount of traffic from Facebook and Twitter. That’s the reason I am so active in social media.

Facebook has proved to be very effective for me, and I think this is the best platform for promoting my blog. I strongly recommend everyone to use it.

Here, from Facebook promotion, I do not mean that you do a paid promotion. For this, you can join groups related to your blog niche, where you will find many opportunities to share your blog URL. If you want, you can start your own Facebook group.

Apart from this, you can also follow many methods like guest posting, commenting, email marketing. These all are also good ways to promote your blog.

You should not just depend on Google in the early days, use social media to get traffic on your blog. This will give your blog a boost.

Q. How do I get started online if I am a complete newbie?

Starting a blog is very easy these days and It also does not require any technical knowledge.

I would recommend that you do not start a blog right away. First, do the complete research, learn as much as you can about blogging.

If you are thinking about making quick money doing blogging then please don’t start a blog instead you should find a job.

Q. Where can we go to connect you and learn more about your work?

You can follow me through my blog BloggingExcel, join my Facebook group – Blogging Excel VIP Group, Where you can directly ask your blogging-related question from me.
